Master Drawings For Wallpapers

There is an underlying fear and and paranoia prevalent in American society. Juxtaposed with imagined fear is the real trauma of war and disasters on human beings. My current drawings show figures in migration that I use as a metaphor for fear. These figures are surrounded by patterns of colorful flowers, alluding to the beauty in nature and the self. Referencing my memory of wallpaper in the 1950's, I draw a repeated figure in motion, surrounded by patterns of flowers. However, unlike the precision in wallpaper design, my repeats are not perfect and show elements of subtle changes.
